It discusses the play of Tim Wakefield, who switched mid-game from third baseman to relief pitcher and excelled, despite the Welland Pirates ultimately losing the game 13-11. Wakefield later became one of the best players in the MLB as a knuckleball pitcher, playing 17 seasons with the Boston Red Sox and winning two World Series with them.
