Was born in Fonthill on March 18, 1871. He is a son of Mr. J. E. Cohoe, of Wainfleet. After an education completed in the Public Schools and Welland High School, he studied law two years with Col. L. Clark Raymond and, later, three years in Osgoode Hall, Toronto, being called to the bar in 1894. The firm of Raymond & Cohoe, barristers, etc., was then formed. Col. Cohoe has always taken an active interest in the Militia. He joined the 44th Regt. in June of 1887 as a private, and since that time has worked his way up through all the offices, last week being gazetted as commander of the regiment. He has the distinction of being the youngest Lt. Col. in the Militia. In politics he is a Liberal, and for several years past has been one of that party's best workers.
