He was then traded to the Chicago Bulls the same night. Mike later won championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1987 and 1988 as the backup centre to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, making him the first Canadian to play on an NBA championship team. Mike was born in Welland and went to Eastdale Secondary School.
