Text reads:

Richard Greenwood, was born in Port Colborne in March, 1851, and has always lived there. Since coming to manhood he has been in the butchering business with his brother. He has also had shipping interests since 1874, and at the present time Messrs. Greenwood own two boats plying on the lakes. For ten years he was also interested in natural gas, but sold out the company to Messrs Reeb. In municipal life he served as reeve in 1897-8, and for twenty years has been a member of the public school board, the past three years as chairman. In politics he is a Conservative, and is now Vice-President of the County Conservative Association. He belongs to four lodges: A. F. & A. M., A. O. U. W., C. O. C. F. and W. O. W. The Port Colborne lodge of the latter order is known as Camp Greenwood.
