John A. Orchard was County Warden, with the following councillors: Calvin D. Emmett, Edmund Miller, Elihu Neff, Ernest Alexander Cruikshank, George Turner, H. N. Willson, Henry Cronmiller, J. Hamilton Burgar, J. O. Emmett, James Henderson, John A. Ramsden, John Willson, Michael B. Barnhard, William Brown, William H. Gainer, and William Williams.
It is incomplete, containing only two sessions: September 19-20, and October 12-15.
The meetings were held at the Welland County Courthouse.
Welland County was the precursor to today's Niagara Regional government (Niagara was composed of Lincoln County and Welland County from 1856-1969).
In the minutes will be found historical decisions being made on subjects such as schools/education, bridges, public buildings, tax assessments, creation of by-laws, and more. [show more]
