The Welland Public Library Bookmobile was launched in July of 1973. It stopped at local seniors homes, day cares, schools, parks and churches. It carried approximately 2,000 books and circulated about 500 books per week. A lifeline for many Wellanders, both children and seniors alike, it continued until 1995.
