Txt on the back of the postcard reads: 'Locks 4, 5, 6 at Thorold, Ontario: The St. Lawrence Seaway in the broadest sense, is a huge water-way extending 2,300 miles from the Atlantic Ocean to the head of the Great Lakes in the heart of North America. The photo shows the lake vessel FORT YORK out of Montreal entering Lock 4 on its way up the mountain and showing another vessel in Lock 5 and another further up in Lock 6. This is the only series of flight locks on the Welland Canal section.' [show more]
